Photographing the Living Web
Introducing Website Photography
SiteAtlas takes regular photographs of websites, creating a visual history of companies, organisations and sectors as they develop over time.It treats the web as a visual landscape — a place where companies, organisations and whole sectors are constantly changing how they present themselves online.
By regularly visiting websites, checking links and storing screenshots when pages change, SiteAtlas builds a visual record of the web as it evolves.
The result is more than a directory. It is a growing photographic archive of companies, sectors and online activity.
Because the web is too large and varied to fit sensibly into one place, SiteAtlas is organised through subject-based extensions.
Each project uses the same core SiteAtlas technology, but applies it to a different sector or purpose.

Website photography for other UK sectors
GB0 applies SiteAtlas beyond property and construction, using screenshot history and verified links to document other changing UK organisations and sectors.
Selling Points
Property search through features, places and brands
SellingPoints uses property-description keywords to connect listings with the features, places, schools, shops, brands and details that make properties more discoverable.
Reuses
Reuses is the SiteAtlas directory for reuse, repair, recycling and waste-related organisations.
It helps make the reuse economy more visible by linking to organisations involved in second-hand goods, furniture reuse, clothing reuse, repair, recycling, reclamation and circular economy services — with SiteAtlas screenshots helping to show how their websites and services change over time.
