Site Atlas
SiteAtlas captures screenshots of public websites to create a visual record of how they change over time.
These Terms cover SiteAtlas and the related SiteAtlas family projects, including 1-2-3-4-5, 5-4-3-2-1, HOMM, gb0 and SellingPoints.
Screenshots are used for reference, directory listing, link checking and visual history. Website content, logos, trademarks and branding shown within screenshots remain the property of their respective owners.
SiteAtlas does not claim ownership of the websites shown in screenshots. The screenshots are used to help identify websites, show changes over time and provide a useful visual reference.
1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions apply to SiteAtlas and the related websites and services operated as part of the SiteAtlas family.
SiteAtlas is operated by Ah Ha Software Limited.
SiteAtlas provides a visual website monitoring, screenshot and archive service. It records selected public web pages over time so that changes to websites can be seen, compared and understood.
The SiteAtlas family includes, but is not limited to:

These websites may share membership, login details and account information. The same login may be used across the SiteAtlas family. Information may be organised by SiteAtlas according to the relevant project, subject area, sector or service.
By using SiteAtlas or any related SiteAtlas family website, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
If you do not agree with these Terms, you should not use the service.
2. About SiteAtlas
SiteAtlas captures and displays visual records of public websites.
The service may include:
- taking screenshots of public website pages;
- checking whether website links are working;
- recording when a website appears to have changed;
- displaying current and historic screenshots;
- organising websites into directories, sectors, projects or subject areas;
- linking to third-party websites, portals, organisations and public web pages;
- allowing registered users to submit, manage, claim or update information related to a website;
- providing visual references across the SiteAtlas family of websites.
SiteAtlas is intended to provide a useful visual reference showing how websites evolve over time.
Websites change. SiteAtlas captures the changes.
3. The SiteAtlas Family
SiteAtlas is the central service for website screenshots, visual monitoring, link checking and website history.
The related SiteAtlas family websites use the same underlying technology, but present information in different subject areas.
For example:
- 1-2-3-4-5 may focus on the UK construction, property and related business sectors.
- 5-4-3-2-1 may focus on international real estate and property-related websites.
- HOMM may focus on estate agents, property developers, retirement housing providers and related property businesses.
- gb0 may focus on other UK sectors and organisations.
- SellingPoints may focus on entities, places, brands, features or organisations mentioned in property descriptions or related sources.
- SiteAtlas may act as the central platform, account system, screenshot service and organising layer for the wider family.
Because each project has a different purpose, information may be separated between different websites rather than placed in one large directory.
This separation helps users find information in the right context.
4. Website Photography and Screenshots
SiteAtlas may take screenshots of websites that are publicly accessible on the internet.
These screenshots are used as visual references. They may show what a website looked like at a particular point in time.
Screenshots may be used for purposes including:
- website identification;
- link checking;
- directory listings;
- visual comparison;
- historical reference;
- public record;
- research;
- commentary;
- showing how an organisation’s website changes over time.
SiteAtlas does not claim ownership of the websites that are captured.
Copyright, trademarks, logos, branding, text, photographs, designs, layouts and other content appearing within screenshots remain the property of their respective owners.
A screenshot may show third-party material because that material was publicly displayed on the relevant website at the time the screenshot was taken.
5. Important Note About Screenshots
Screenshots are shown as visual references to public websites.
SiteAtlas does not claim ownership of the website content shown within them.
The presence of a screenshot on SiteAtlas does not mean that the website owner, business, organisation, portal, brand or rights holder has endorsed SiteAtlas or is connected with SiteAtlas.
Unless clearly stated otherwise, SiteAtlas is independent of the organisations whose websites are shown.
6. Historic Screenshots
SiteAtlas may retain historic screenshots to show how websites have changed over time.
Historic screenshots may include:
- old branding;
- former layouts;
- old contact details;
- previous products or services;
- organisations that have changed name;
- organisations that have changed ownership;
- organisations that have ceased trading;
- websites that are no longer online;
- pages that later changed or disappeared.
Historic screenshots are provided as a visual archive.
They should not be treated as current information.
Users should always check important information directly with the relevant organisation or current website.
7. Website Inclusion
Websites may be included in SiteAtlas or one of the SiteAtlas family projects in several ways, including:
- discovery by SiteAtlas systems;
- inclusion in public directories or sector lists;
- inclusion because a website is relevant to one of the SiteAtlas family projects;
- submission by a registered user;
- submission by the owner or operator of a website;
- submission by a person connected with an organisation;
- inclusion because a website has been mentioned, linked to or publicly listed elsewhere.
Submitting a website does not guarantee that it will be included, monitored, displayed, updated or retained.
SiteAtlas may decide whether or not to include a website.
SiteAtlas may remove, hide, reorganise, update or stop monitoring any website at its discretion.
8. Website URLs Submitted by Users
If a user adds a website to SiteAtlas, the website address should normally be the home page URL rather than a sub-page URL.
For example, the submitted website URL should normally be: https://example.com rather than: https://example.com/about-us/team/specific-page
This helps SiteAtlas identify, organise and monitor the website correctly.
Adding a website URL may be optional, depending on the feature being used. Users may be able to add or update website details later.
SiteAtlas may edit, normalise, correct or reject submitted URLs.
9. Registered Accounts and Shared Login
A registered account may be used across SiteAtlas and related SiteAtlas family websites.
This means that the same login may allow access to more than one SiteAtlas family service.
Account information may be shared within the SiteAtlas family for purposes including:
- login and authentication;
- account management;
- website submissions;
- organising user data;
- providing access to related services;
- preventing misuse;
- improving the SiteAtlas family of websites.
You are responsible for keeping your login details secure.
You must not allow anyone else to use your account without permission.
You must not use another person’s account without permission.
You agree that any information submitted through your account is accurate to the best of your knowledge.

- it does not infringe the rights of any third party;
- SiteAtlas may use it for the purpose of operating, improving and displaying the service.
SiteAtlas may edit, decline, remove, reorganise or moderate submitted information at its discretion.
SiteAtlas is not required to publish submitted information.
11. Claims to Listings
SiteAtlas may allow website owners, business owners or authorised representatives to claim, update or manage information relating to a website or organisation.
SiteAtlas may ask for evidence that the person making the claim is connected with the relevant website or organisation.
SiteAtlas may refuse, suspend or reverse a claim if it cannot verify the request or if there is a dispute.
A claim to a listing does not give the claimant ownership of SiteAtlas screenshots, SiteAtlas data, directory structures, software, page layouts or historical records.
12. Accuracy of Information
SiteAtlas aims to provide useful information, but it does not guarantee that all information is complete, accurate, current or suitable for any particular purpose.
Websites change frequently.
A screenshot is only a visual record of how a website appeared at or around the time it was captured.
Links, company details, directory entries, screenshots, descriptions, search results and other information may become outdated, incomplete or incorrect.
Users should check important information directly with the relevant organisation or website before relying on it.
13. Links to Third-Party Websites
SiteAtlas and its related projects contain links to third-party websites.
These links are provided for convenience, reference, directory use, visual history, research and verification.
SiteAtlas does not control third-party websites.
SiteAtlas is not responsible for:
- the content of third-party websites;
- the accuracy of third-party information;
- the availability of third-party websites;
- the security of third-party websites;
- the privacy practices of third-party websites;
- the terms and conditions of third-party websites;
- any loss or damage caused by visiting or relying on a third-party website.
Following a link to a third-party website is at your own risk.
14. Automated Visiting, Monitoring and Screenshots
SiteAtlas may use automated systems to visit public websites, check links and capture screenshots.
These systems are intended to operate responsibly and to provide a useful record of website changes.
SiteAtlas does not guarantee that every website will be visited, revisited or updated on any particular schedule.
Monitoring frequency may vary.
SiteAtlas may stop monitoring any website at any time.
SiteAtlas may also choose not to capture a website or page where it considers that doing so would be inappropriate, impractical, unlawful, technically difficult or contrary to the purpose of the service.
15. Robots, Blocking and Technical Restrictions
Some websites may use technical systems to restrict automated access.
SiteAtlas may decide whether or not to continue visiting, monitoring or displaying information about a website where technical restrictions are encountered.
SiteAtlas does not guarantee that it will capture every website accurately.
Some screenshots may be incomplete, blocked, distorted, out of date or unavailable because of technical restrictions, website design, login requirements, cookie notices, pop-ups, scripts, security systems or other factors outside SiteAtlas control.
16. Copyright, Trademarks and Third-Party Rights
SiteAtlas respects the rights of website owners, copyright holders and trademark owners.
Screenshots displayed by SiteAtlas may contain third-party copyright material, trademarks, logos, branding, designs, photographs, text or other material because those items appeared on public web pages at the time the screenshot was taken.
SiteAtlas displays screenshots for purposes such as reference, identification, directory listing, link verification, visual history, commentary, research and public record.
Nothing on SiteAtlas should be interpreted as suggesting that a third-party organisation endorses SiteAtlas, is affiliated with SiteAtlas, or has approved a screenshot unless this is clearly stated.

17. Important Note About Rights Requests
If you are a website owner, copyright holder, trademark owner or authorised representative and you object to a screenshot, listing or item of information shown by SiteAtlas, please contact us.
Please include:
- the relevant SiteAtlas page URL;
- the website, business or organisation concerned;
- the screenshot, listing or information in question;
- your relationship to the website, business or organisation;
- the reason for the request;
- any corrected information that should be used instead.
SiteAtlas will consider reasonable requests.
Depending on the circumstances, SiteAtlas may:
- correct information;
- update a listing;
- replace old information with current information;
- hide a screenshot from public view;
- remove a screenshot;
- remove a listing;
- add clarification;
- retain material where there is a legitimate reason to preserve a visual archive.
SiteAtlas does not guarantee that every request will result in removal.
18. Takedown, Correction and Removal Requests
SiteAtlas may remove, hide, edit or correct material at its discretion.
A takedown or correction request does not automatically mean that the material is unlawful, incorrect or inappropriate.
SiteAtlas may retain internal records of removed or hidden material for administrative, technical, legal, security or historical reasons.
Where a request concerns personal data, it will be considered in line with the SiteAtlas Privacy Policy and applicable data protection law.
19. Privacy and Personal Data
Use of SiteAtlas may involve the processing of personal data, especially where users create accounts, submit contact details, request corrections or communicate with SiteAtlas.
Personal data is handled according to the SiteAtlas Privacy Policy.
Where the same login is used across the SiteAtlas family, account data may be shared between related SiteAtlas family services for authentication, account management, security, service delivery and organisation of user data.
SiteAtlas may also process basic technical information needed to operate the service securely and correctly.
The Privacy Policy should be read together with these Terms.
20. Cookies
SiteAtlas only uses cookies that are essential for the operation of the website.
These are PHP session cookies used for basic session handling, such as keeping a user logged in or allowing the website to recognise a user during their visit.
SiteAtlas does not use cookies for advertising, tracking, profiling or behavioural marketing.
SiteAtlas does not use cookies to follow users around the internet.
Because these cookies are essential to the operation of the service, some parts of the website may not work properly if they are blocked or disabled.
21. Acceptable Use
You must not use SiteAtlas or any SiteAtlas family service to:
- submit false, misleading or unlawful information;
- impersonate another person, business or organisation;
- claim a listing without authority;
- interfere with the operation of the service;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to accounts, systems or data;
- use the service for scraping, copying, harvesting or bulk extraction without permission;
- reproduce substantial parts of SiteAtlas without permission;
- upload, submit or transmit malicious code, spam or harmful material;
- use screenshots, directory data or other SiteAtlas material in a way that infringes third-party rights;
- misrepresent your relationship with SiteAtlas or any organisation listed on SiteAtlas;
- use the service for unlawful, abusive, defamatory, threatening, fraudulent or harmful purposes.
SiteAtlas may suspend, restrict or remove access where it believes these Terms have been breached.
22. No Scraping or Bulk Copying
SiteAtlas invests time, technology and resources in discovering, organising, checking, capturing and presenting website information.
You must not scrape, harvest, copy, extract, download, reproduce, republish, resell or commercially exploit substantial parts of SiteAtlas without written permission.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- screenshot archives;
- directory data;
- website lists;
- organisation lists;
- category structures;
- search results;
- historical records;
- page layouts;
- database content.
Normal viewing of SiteAtlas pages through a web browser is allowed.
23. Intellectual Property in SiteAtlas
The SiteAtlas name, structure, software, layout, database organisation, directory design, written content, original text, page design, classification system and original materials created by SiteAtlas are protected by intellectual property rights.
You may view SiteAtlas pages for normal personal, business or research use.
You must not copy, reproduce, republish, scrape, harvest, resell or commercially exploit substantial parts of SiteAtlas without written permission.
Third-party content appearing within screenshots remains the property of the relevant third-party rights holders.
24. User Content Licence
If you submit content to SiteAtlas, you give SiteAtlas a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, store, display, edit, reproduce and publish that content for the purpose of operating, promoting, improving and maintaining SiteAtlas and the SiteAtlas family services.
This licence allows SiteAtlas to:
- display submitted information on relevant pages;
- organise the information within the SiteAtlas family;
- make technical copies;
- back up the information;
- edit formatting;
- correct obvious errors;
- use the information to improve the service.
You remain responsible for the information you submit.
25. Service Availability
SiteAtlas aims to keep its services available, but it does not guarantee uninterrupted access.
The service may be unavailable, changed, limited, suspended or discontinued for reasons including:
- maintenance;
- technical issues;
- security concerns;
- development work;
- hosting changes;
- software updates;
- data loss;
- legal concerns;
- business decisions;
- events outside SiteAtlas control.
SiteAtlas is not liable for any loss resulting from interruption, delay, error, missing data or unavailability of the service.
26. Changes to the Service
SiteAtlas may change, reorganise, merge, separate, rename or discontinue parts of the service.
Because the SiteAtlas family is organised by subject and use, different parts of the service may appear on different websites.
For example, property-related information may appear on HOMM, construction-related information may appear on 1-2-3-4-5, international realty information may appear on 5-4-3-2-1, and other sectors may appear on gb0, SellingPoints or other SiteAtlas family websites.
The structure of the SiteAtlas family may change over time.
27. No Professional Advice
SiteAtlas provides directory information, visual website records, screenshots, links and related tools.
It does not provide legal, financial, property, investment, business, technical or professional advice.
Any information shown on SiteAtlas or related websites should be treated as general information only.
You should obtain professional advice before making decisions based on information found through SiteAtlas where appropriate.
28. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SiteAtlas is not liable for any loss, damage, cost or expense arising from:
- use of, or inability to use, the service;
- reliance on screenshots, links, directory information or historic records;
- errors, omissions or outdated information;
- third-party websites linked from SiteAtlas;
- website changes that are not captured;
- screenshots that are missing, incomplete, inaccurate or unavailable;
- user-submitted information;
- unauthorised use of your account where you failed to keep your login details secure;
- technical problems, hosting issues or data loss;
- decisions made by users after viewing SiteAtlas.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
29. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify SiteAtlas and Ah Ha Software Limited against any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses arising from:
- your breach of these Terms;
- your misuse of the service;
- information you submit;
- your unauthorised claim to a listing;
- your infringement of third-party rights;
- your unlawful use of SiteAtlas or any SiteAtlas family website.
30. Suspension and Termination
SiteAtlas may suspend, restrict or terminate access to an account or service if it believes that:
- these Terms have been breached;
- the service is being misused;
- information submitted is false, unlawful or harmful;
- continued access may create legal, technical or security risk;
- the account is inactive;
- the account is no longer required;
- SiteAtlas decides to discontinue or change the relevant service.
Users may request closure of their account, subject to any reasonable retention needed for legal, security, technical or administrative purposes.
31. Changes to These Terms
SiteAtlas may update these Terms from time to time.
The updated version will be posted on the relevant SiteAtlas website.
The date at the top of the page may be changed when the Terms are updated.
Continued use of SiteAtlas or any SiteAtlas family service after the Terms have been updated means that you accept the updated Terms.
